300-1 Longshot Mackenzie Hughes Just Four Strokes Back at RBC Heritage
Midway through the latest PGA tour stop, Canadian underdog Mackenzie Hughes is just four strokes back at RBC Heritage.
That might not be the normal expected sporting headline, but for those who took our wagering advice a few days ago and bet on Hughes, he appears to be very much in contention. When we recommended Hughes, he was a very attractive 250-to-1 at Spreads.ca, and when the Canadian finally teed-off on Thursday his price spiked to 300-to-1. That makes a possible huge payoff all the more sweet.
Oddly enough, Hughes will have another Canadian standing in his path, should he make a move and pull off what would be a stunning upset win. Corey Conners is in third place, just one stroke off the leader heading into the third round of play. Hughes is currently tied for 11th-place, but still well within contention.
American golfer Webb Simpson stands as the leader at the halfway point. Here's the full leaderboard: RBC HERITAGE LEADER BOARD
Action continues this Saturday with the third round at Hilton Head, SC.
