An Early Look: Sweet Sixteen Storylines
March Madness continues with the Sweet 16 round, which will be played on Thursday and Friday.
Four games will take place each day.
Here are some of the top storylines:
-- Three #1’s made it into Round 3 – Gonzaga, Kansas, and Arizona. But two longshots also remain -- #10 Iowa State and #15 St. Peters.
-- Everyone's talking about the Cinderella team, which is St. Peters. However, the real shocking turnaround this season has been Iowa State. The Cyclones went 2-22 last season. They finished 0-18 in the Big 12!
-- Storied North Carolina has averaged a Final Four trip roughly every 3 years since 1967. It’s been five seasons since the last one, so they're due.
-- Gonzaga has accomplished just about everything a college program could dream of -- except one thing. This could be the Zags' year.
-- Guess who’s been to more Final Fours than any school ever without winning a national championship? The answer is Houston, with 6 appearances, and still waiting for the win.
-- Duke legend Mike Krzyzewski is now just four games away from a storybook ending to his career. And everyone knows it.
-- This isn’t football, so Miami's deep run in this tournament is a surprise. The Hurricanes have never won a Sweet 16 game in their history.

A few random thoughts:
Arizona as a #1 seed might be a great value, laying only -1 vs. Houston....
Can Texas Tech +1 stay with Duke; we doubt it....
Villanova vs. Michigan looks like a toss-up, so give us the +4.5 points....
Gonzaga deserves to be laying -9, but that's a no bet for us....
St. Peters is getting +12.5? We'll take it!....
Kansas is the far better team facing Providence, so we'll lay -7....
North Carolina +2 against UCLA? We think the Tar Heels might win it all, give us the dog....
and finally, Miami playing Iowa State will be fun to watch--we'll play OVER the lowest total on the board (133).
