Calgary Flames See a Possible "Trap Game" vs. Anaheim Ducks

FIRST-PLACE FLAMES SEE A POSSIBLE "TRAP GAME" VERSUS QUACKLESS DUCKS

At first glance, the first-place Calgary Flames (41-19-9) should have no problem at all beating the Anaheim Ducks (28-31-12), who have been out of playoff contention for quite some time.

Anaheim is in a serious funk right now, seemingly playing out their string of games before the offseason. The UNMIGHTY Ducks have gone a woeful 1-7-2 in their last ten games, with nothing to play for.

Meanwhile, Calgary has clearly found a grove and they're poised to remain healthy for a playoff run where no one would be shocked of the Flames went deep and even managed to make a Stanley Cup appearance. This Calgary team is really that good, especially on defense.

The puck drops in Anaheim on Wednesday night at 7 pm PST.

OPINION (Powered by Pointspreads.ca):

Calgary started this current road trip in good fashion, beating the rising LA Kings on Monday night. The rest of the Flames' trip, which includes stops against the San Jose Sharks and expansion Seattle Kraken — the two clubs ranked below the Ducks — is a great opportunity for the Flames to strengthen their grip on the Pacific Division lead.

Both the Kings and Edmonton Oilers remain hot on their heels. Given the favourable schedule, let's look for the Flames to keep the win streak rolling and also bet them on most offensive and defensive props.
