Don Cherry's NHL Pick (1-8-22)

Oh-Canada Jan 07, 2022

Don Cherry's NHL Pick for Saturday:

My first rule of thumb is that in the first game back from a long road trip, the home team usually comes out flat.  The Vancouver Canucks just finished a four-game road trip.  However, both teams have not played in a week, so they should be well rested.  Meanwhile, the Ottawa Senators are starting a five-game road trip and want to get off on the right foot in this game.  They were embarrassed by the Maple Leafs in a 6-0 shutout in their last game and will be eager to make up for that loss. This is not an easy game – do you take the Sens on the spread or do you take the moneyline and the Canucks?  I can’t bet against my buddy Bruce Boudreau, so I’ll take the Canucks.

The Cherry Pick:  Vancouver Canucks -170 (moneyline)
