Leafs and Canucks Both Looking for Rebound of Loss in Saturday Night Showdown
Saturday's night premier NHL matchup features the Vancouver Canucks (21-21-6) hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs (30-11-3). The puck drops at 7:05 pm ET.
The early line at Spreads.ca shows the Leafs -165 faves, coming back at +135 on the dog Canucks. The O/U is 6.
After winning 7 straight, the Leafs stumbled in Calgary on Wednesday night, losing 5-2. Meanwhile, the Canucks have been inconsistent as of late, losing 9 of their last 15, including a dismal performance at home two nights ago hosting the NY Islanders (a 6-3 loss). Both teams hope to rebound in this key game all-Canadian matchup.
Here's a partial screen shot of the numbers up at Spreads.ca:

PREDICTION (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca):
The Leafs are rightly favoured since they've been the far better team all season.
However, the value here probably goes to the Canucks at home, especially off a subpar performance.
Nonetheless, we really like the OVER 6 in this game since Toronto has cracked the 6+ goal mark in 7 straight games, while Vancouver has also hit 6+ in each of their last three contests.
