Tampa Bay is attractively-priced to even the series, setting up a Game 7 – here's why we like the Lightning tonight
The Tampa Bay Lightning are just one loss away from playoff elimination.
Indeed, the tidal wave of two consecutive Stanley Cups could be crashing on the Florida shore. Their winning streak of nine-straight playoffs series will also be at stake in Tampa on Thursday night when they face the explosive Toronto Maple Leafs, who now hold a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Hence, Game 6 becomes a "must-win" for the Lightning.
This has certainly been an exciting back and forth series, but no game illustrated the heart and souls of these two talented teams better than what happened in Game 5. The defiant Maple Leafs overcame a 2-0 deficit and scored 3 shocking third-period goals, winning a 4-3 thriller in Toronto.
However, if things go according to precedent, Tampa Bay should be ready to even this series. It's Tampa Bay's turn and time to win.
The current odds at Spreads.ca seem to agree. The Lightning are listed as 1.76 favourites, which comes back at 2.10 betting on the Leafs. The O/U total is set at 6.5.

Prediction (powered by Pointspreads.ca):
The Lightning have scored 17 goals in this series, and should continue to get off plenty of shots.
Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has been a concern in the net, but as last years' Conn Smythe Trophy winner, he's certainly capable of coming up big when needed the most.
With so much on the line for Tampa Bay, back in the comfortable confines of home, and knowing they blew the previous game with sloppy play late, look for a more focused and decisive effort here.
The Lightning are priced attractively in this spot, so we'll take them as small favourites.
