NBA Sunday: Raptors Face a Tough Test in Philly

nba Mar 19, 2022

The Toronto Raptors (39-31) have been on a roll over the past few weeks, playing their best basketball of the season while on an extended road trip.

However, they appear to have stalled of late, reverting back to a 6-4 mark in their past ten games.

The Raptors will attempt to regain some confidence that they can beat the NBA's best teams (they defeated Phoenix and Denver on the road during the previous stretch) when the Dinos tip-off on Sunday in Philadelphia (43-26).

The Sixers rank third in the Eastern Conference (the Raptors are seventh). One positive for the Raptors -- the Sixers are only 20-15 at home. Inexplicably, Philadelphia plays much better on the road (23-11), so the home court might not be a factor.

Toronto is just one game behind taking over the 6th seed but also has to be careful since the Brooklyn Nets are finally playing better and are rising from the 8 spot.

The game begins at 4:30 pm ET.

OPINION (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca):

Toronto is probably the play here getting points.

The Raptors are 5-1 ATS in their last six games. Moreover, Toronto is on a 5-0 ATS streak in their last five games on the road. In what's probably close to a toss-up, any points or moneyline edge should be worth a look.

Also, the total has gone UNDER in 7 of Toronto's last 10 games.
