Two big games in the NBA Tuesday fill a busy night in sports
Tuesday night's NBA schedule includes seven games. At least two matchups should interest fans and bettors.
Raptors Hope to Extinguish the Heat Again
Toronto's 3-overtime win against Miami was one of the most thrilling games of the season. Five Raptors' starters played 50+ minutes (the first time in NBA history that's ever happened!) in Toronto's 124-120 victory, and each player scored 19+ points.
The Raptors (24-23) will have to play their best once again, facing the mighty Heat (32-18), which remain the top seed in the Eastern Conference at the midseason point (7:30 pm ET/4:30 PT tip off). However, the Raptors should be confident coming off the win three nights ago. Both games between these two teams this season have been close and hard-fought.
However, the two teams will also be playing with no rest, since both were in action on Monday night.
WHAT ARE THE SPREADS EXPERTS RECOMMENDING?
Even though the last game reached 244 combined points and crushed the "over," it did take 3 OT periods to hit such a high total. Given both teams could be fatigued from a busy schedule and from games during the previous night, look for shooting percentages to fall and the game to go "under."
Nets at Suns: NBA Finals Preview?
On Saturday night, we labeled the Nets-Warriors game (won by Golden State 110-106) as a possible "NBA finals preview." The high-flying Phoenix Suns (40-9) might have a thing or two to say about that.
The Suns currently have the NBA's best overall record, are riding a 10-game winning streak, and are almost unbeatable at home (21-5 on the season). The Nets will certainly have their hands full in this battle of giants.
WHAT ARE THE SPREADS EXPERTS RECOMMENDING?
The Nets were in a comparable spot over the weekend and played Golden State tough (losing by 4, but still covering). We see a similar result here. The Suns get the win at home and won't be taking this talented opponent lightly, but the Nets plus the points get the cover.
