NFC Championship Game Preview:  San Francisco at LA Rams

49ers aim to beat Rams third time this season

San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan and Rams coach Sean McVay are friends who have worked together off and on.  But since becoming head coaches for their respective teams, Shanahan has mastered McVay.  The 49ers frontman is 7-3 in ten games versus his rival, winning six straight games.

The last win might have been the most dramatic, however.  The final game of the season, the 49ers fell behind 0-17 early but rallied to beat the Rams to earn the final wild card spot in the playoffs.

Now, here we are three weeks later.

The 49ers have faced the tougher route to the championship, and the defense rose to the occasion.  However, San Francisco's offense is a major concern scoring just two TDS in the previous two games, including no offensive touchdowns in the last 5 quarters.  They'll need to do more than that facing the multi-dimensional LA Rams, coming off two straight 30+ point performances.

Spreads.ca offers the Rams at -3.5 with a game total of 46.  See more odds below.

POINTSPREADS.CA EXPERTS PREDICTION:  The 49ers are built to upset teams like the Rams, just as they upset Dallas and Green Bay, both with powerful offenses.  However, a fourth straight road game for the visitor could finally take a toll here.  The Rams must feel confident at home and are eager for revenge against the upstate upset-minded division cousins.  Take the LA Rams and lay the -3.5

(Kickoff is Sunday at 6:30 pm ET)
