NFL Deep Dive: Skunked and Shutout!

This Deep Dive prop is simple to understand. Will there be a shutout in the Divisional Round of the playoffs?
This weekend includes four playoff games. For the YES to hit, just one game needs to include a shutout. That's priced at +2500. There is not a NO side of this prop. Such a thing would probably require a lay price of -3000 or more, which isn't typically offered at such a high price.
So, what's the real chance of a shutout happening in this weeks playoff games? Let's take a closer look.
WILL ANY OF EIGHT TEAMS GET SKUNKED?
Obviously, this is a long-shot prop. It won't hit often. But all we need is for it to happen once – this weekend.
NFL shutouts happen about 3.2 percent of the time. Hence, the odds are about right, with the usual house hold percentage factored in.
What could work in favor of a shut happening this week, however, could be the weather. Three games could be impacted by cold temperatures. In Green Bay, the game time temperature could be -0 F. That likely improves the chances of a shutout happening.
With 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly not at 100 percent, the most likely victim of the shutout could be San Francisco. But let's also give the Tennessee Titans' defense credit, which shut out one opponent this season and also held three teams to 3 points or less.
Expecting shutout to happen is a false hope. However, given the odds, it might be worth a shot.
