Thursday offers a stellar night in hockey.
Here's the betting menu at SPREADS.CA.
Two games stand out. For Canadians, the Maple Leafs-Flames game is a must see. The other huge matchup is a battle of titans in Colorado as the Avalanche host the Lightning.
TORONTO at CALGARY
Toronto (30-10-3, 3rd in the Atlantic) enters Thursday night's big showdown riding 7-1-0 stretch and is averaging five goals for per game. However, host Calgary (23-13-6, 4th in the Pacific) is just as hot lately, winners of 6 of their last 7 contests. The Flames' dominant win over division-rival Las Vegas on Wednesday night was a clear statement they can beat anybody (puck drop at 9:05 pm ET). The moneyline at Spreads shows Toronto -140, coming back at +120 on Calgary.
EXPERT PICK (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca) -- With both teams looking and playing so lethal of late, the total of 6 might be too low. We could see the line move to 6.5 by game time, but if you can catch the 6 (a key number) below -150, then take it.
TAMPA BAY at COLORADO
We must mention the much-anticipated Tampa Bay at Colorado battle of titans tonight (puck drop at 9:05 pm ET).
The Avs are a slight favourite laying -115 with the O/U at 6 goals.
This one is a much-tougher game to predict. We'll watch this one from behind the glass.
