Odds and Trends in the NBA (Jan. 8th)

Here's the daily report for NBA trends for Sunday, January 8th.
It's a great looking betting card with 9 NBA games scheduled. The Nets-Heat and Jazz-Grizzlies day games are the best matchups on the board.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors (16-23) have been in a tailspin downward. They've lost three straight games. They face the Portland Trailblazers (19-19) at home, and are -3 point favourites. This line seems a bit surprising, since Portland is 5-0 straight up in its last 5 games when playing Toronto.
