Play Ball! 2022 Opening Day on Thursday
OPENING DAY FOR THE 2022 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL SEASON HAPPENS THIS THURSDAY
It's here. There's no strike. Finally, it's time to play ball. Hooray!
Opening day of the 2022 Major League Baseball Season is on the horizon.
Opening day (Apr. 7) includes seven games, then the next day the Toronto Blue Jays season opener happens as they host Texas. Lots of big things are expected from Toronto this season, which has become the odds-on favourite to win the American League pennant. The Jays are forecasted at 93 wins, and are even favoured as the best in a brutally tough AL East division -- which includes the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays. We like Toronto to be in contention all season long, since they will field one of the most exciting teams in the majors.
If you're reading this now, there's a good chance the first pitch hasn't been thrown yet. So, that means the futures bets and outrights and props are still open for wagering.
Check out all the latest -- soon to be closing numbers -- at Spreads.ca.
Note that many of the most interesting "outrights" options are the MATCHBETS. This means you bet on players matched up to have the most home runs, or pitching wins, or team wins. For instance, you can bet the LA Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays for most wins (note the Dodgers are favoured by -4.5 games). This makes for an interesting twist on cheering for you team (or against certain teams) all season long.
Here's the opening day odds:

OPINION (powered by Pointspreads.ca):
We love the San Francisco Giants OVER 87 wins (and advise betting on them on most related futures and props).
We really love the Chicago White Sox to post more wins than the perpetually overvalued and underachieving NY Mets (as a match bet).
We also will take a flyer on most of the Vladimir Guerrero props (most HRs at 8-1, RBIs at 9-1, etc.).
Now, let's play ball!
