Raptors Aim to End 2-Game Slide in Minnesota

nba Feb 16, 2022

As the NBA is about to roll into All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, teams will be jockeying for position heading into the break.

Wednesday night, Toronto (31-25) heads to Minnesota (30-27) in an intriguing matchup that's important to both teams. The T-Wolves have played much better of late, going 17-10 at home. They also won at home in OT versus Charlotte.

Like the Raptors, they're seeded 7th in the conference at the moment, so each win is critical to move up in the standings. Meanwhile, after a blistering two-week 9-1 run, Toronto has cooled off recently, losers of two straight.  Spreads.ca lists this game at Toronto -1.5.

After this game, both teams will be off for the next 8 nights.  The tipoff is 8 pm ET.

OPINION (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca)

Toronto played a dismal game in New Orleans on Monday night, losing by 30. This team has bounced back well after bad defeats.

So, we expect a much more focused effort here. the Raptors could catch the T-Wolves in a fatigue spot, since this is a back-to-back situation for the home favourite.  The OT game last night won by Minnesota probably helps our chances, as well.

We'll grab the Raptors and lay the -1.5 points.
