Line movement on the CFL Week 2 matchup between the Ottawa Redblacks and Winnipeg Blue Bombers has been massive – a swing of 7-8 points
The Ottawa Redblacks almost pulled off the upset of the young season in Week 1.
The long-suffering Redblacks entered the 2022 regular season looking like a team prepared to turn things around and they sure didn't disappoint with their opening effort at Winnipeg, the toughest place to win a game in Canada.
While Ottawa didn't end up with the win, they pushed the two-time defending Grey Cup champions to panic mode in the final quarter on the road in what ended up as a 19-17 loss, but an easy cover as a +9.5 point underdog. The Redblacks tickets were always good as gold, since it took a late drive and last-second field goal by Winnipeg to squeak out with an ugly win.
CFL bettors must have been mightily impressed too, since this rare rematch and back-to-back Friday nighter has seen the line move from Blue Bombers -7.5 points to near pick 'em as we approach game time.
There is some value going against the line movement and backing the defending champions at this number. Especially with a talented defense more than capable of making the necessary adjustments to avoid giving up plays downfield.
We'll take Winnipeg as our pick, as well. We will go with the Blue Bombers up to -3.
