Saskatchewan at Montreal Kicks Off CFL's Week 3 Action

Oh-Canada Jun 23, 2022

We're very happy with the way the CFL season has gone, betting-wise, so far. We're 2-0 in the first few weeks of action and now have four more games to handicap to be played over the next three nights.

We'll see one game played on Thursday, another on Friday, and then two more games on Saturday.

Thursday night's Saskatchewan-Montreal contest might appear to be a complete mismatch since the Roughriders sport a perfect 2-0 W-L record while the Alouettes still remain winless. However, Montreal has played tough in both games and could be in a prime spot to pull off an upset playing at home.

The kickoff at Molson Stadium in Montreal begins at 7:30 pm EST.

Spreads.ca currently lists Saskatchewan as 3-point favourites. The O/U is set at 46.

Prediction (powered by Pointspreads.ca):

It's important to note how close Montreal is to being 2-0 right now. They lost a heartbreaker in Week 1 to Calgary on a last-second FG, then blew their own chance to win Week 2's game against Toronto on a 21-yard chip shot in the closing seconds, but missed it.

So, the Als have to like their performances and players, even though they didn't produce the W, yet.

Meanwhile, this could be a trap game for the Roughriders who come in on just four days' rest and travel across the country to face a determined team.

After letting two close games slip away in the final seconds, look for not just a cover, but an outright upset win by Montreal.
