Streaking Raptors Riding 8-Game Win Streak Hope to Crush the Nuggets
The Toronto Raptors (31-23, 6th in the East) are in for a real test on Saturday night hosting one of the West's best teams. The offensive-minded Denver Nuggets (30-24, 5th in the West) roll into Ontario as winners of 6 of their last 10.
However, Denver is at a big disadvantage here, coming off a back-to-back scheduling challenge following Friday's game at Boston. They lost by 6 points to the Celtics. In fact, the Raptors have won 8 straight and also been the NBA's hottest team over the past two weeks, going 9-1 during that stretch while playing their best basketball of the season.
The tipoff is at 7:10 pm ET. The line is Raptors -3.5

PREDICTION (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca):
The back-to-back disadvantage seriously hurts Denver's chances here, especially versus a Toronto team that's clearly on the rise and could be a serious dark horse in the wide-open Eastern Conference. The rested Raptors will be eager to win their ninth straight game, and won't take a solid team like Denver lightly. This game will be close for 3 quarters, then Toronto should pull away in the 4th and get the cover by the buzzer.
We believe a wager on the Raptors laying -3.5 is justified.
