A 2022 March Madness Pre-Preview

March Madness in NCAA college basketball is just a few weeks away.

We get "the revelation" next Sunday with the official 68-team announcement with brackets, then the opening round of games starts on March 17th.

However, there are still lots of exciting betting opportunities between now and then. Conference championship tournaments have already begun and will continue all weekend, which means all games now take on added importance. For some teams, it's going to be one and done. Lose one game, and the season is over.

The men's 2022 NCAA tournament will include 32 teams that qualify through automatic bids from each of their conferences. In fact, there are 32 conferences that will crown champions via the tournament format. This upcoming weekend begins the final month of the college basketball season, which ends with the National Championship game in Apr. 4th.

Check out all the odds, totals, and props on every game at Spreads.ca. You can also still bet on the conference winners. Pro Tip: It's far easier to pick winners in these tournament games than March Madness.

It's also not too late to make a futures bet on which team will be crowned as the national champion. Gonzaga remains an overwhelming betting favourite, at least for now. That's unlikely to change until (and if) they're defeated at some point. The Zags much just roll all the way to the championship (at +350 to win it all).

Here's a partial list at the updated odds at Spreads.ca:

OPINION (courtesy of Pointspreads.ca):

Arkansas Razorbacks are 14-1 in their past 15 games (listed at 55-1!)

Providence is 24-4 overall this season and isn't getting nearly enough respect as a 70-1 shot to win the title.

As for a team to bet on that is likely to cover and pull off some surprises, keep an eye on #21 Murray State. The Racers are the No. 1 seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and could shock a few teams in March Madness (150-1 odds).

Reminder/Circle the Date:  The teams in this year's edition of March Madness will be announced next Sunday, March 13th.
