Two NBA Bets Worth Considering for Sunday
NBA action tips off on Sunday with 7 games on a busy schedule.

Here's a short betting guide to the two premier matchups:

BEASTS IN THE EAST: BULLS HOST 76ERS
The top two teams in the Eastern Conference play on Sunday afternoon (tipoff 3:30 pm ET). The Chicago Bulls (32-18) host the Philadelphia 76ers (31-20) in a game that could be a preview of the East finals, four months from now. Perhaps that prediction is preliminary, but the Bulls and Sixers have been the class of the first half of the NBA season. While the defending champion Bucks have stumbled and the Nets have dealt with injury issues, these 1-2 seeded teams are improving by the week. The game line is 76ers -1.

PREDICTION (powered by pointspreads.ca):
The Sixers have been hot, winners of five straight games prior to a stumble on Wednesday night. Philadelphia also boasts one of the league's best road records at 17-10. Laying only a point in this road game, and a couple of starters back healthy again, the 76ers should be ready.

NETS GET TANGLED UP IN DENVER?
The Brooklyn Nets (29-22) are fading, despite being favourites to win the NBA finals as late as last week. But this team has lost 8 of its last 10 contests and is obviously feeling the wear and tear of a long 5-game road trip, which winds down in Denver against one of the West's toughest teams.
The Nets have lost seven in a row and are 2-8 since K. Durant went down with a sprained MCL. Durant is not expected back for a few weeks, and now the Nets playing without Harden, who is also being talked about in trade rumors ahead of this week's deadline. Brooklyn will try to end its longest skid in two seasons when it plays at Denver.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets (28-23) are engaged in a battle with Utah and Dallas to see which teams will land in the much-coveted 4 spot, so they won't have to go through a gauntlet of brutal playoff opposition that includes possibly both the Suns and Warriors. The Nuggets are favoured by -4.5 with a moneyline price of -210 (tipoff 3:30 pm ET).

PREDICTION (powered by pointspreads.ca):
The schedule-maker did Brooklyn no favors, forcing the Nets to play 5 road games in 7 nights against four of the best teams in the NBA. They are eager to get out of the West time zone and return to Brooklyn, get healthy, and make a push to turn things around in the second half of the season. Fatigued, in a game played at mile-high altitude, this is a bad spot for the underdog Nets, so we'll take Denver and lay the points.
