The Washington Wizards, one of the NBA's longest-suffering franchises, are in first place in the Eastern Conference.
Not Milwaukee. Not Chicago. Not Brooklyn. Not Philadelphia. Not Miami.

We have no clue long how long this Wizard magic will continue. Perhaps, not for long. But let's also give Washington their due.
Consider the Wizards were forecasted to win just 33.5 games. They were 6-1 odds to even make the playoffs. That longshot prospect is looking pretty good, right now.

Everybody loves an underdog, especially when we bet on them.
Right now at SPREADS.CA, you can get the Wizards at 201-1 to win the NBA championship. Okay, so perhaps that's too optimistic. How about a futures bet on the Wizards winning the Eastern Conference at the top seed? That would pay 81-1!
Since injuries, trades, and certainly the threat of COVID makes things uncertain, it wouldn't be crazy to put down a few bucks on Washington. As awful as a futures bet on Brooklyn is at the current price, the Wizards (and other teams, also) offer some exceptional values.
