As the 2022 NHL All-Star weekend approaches, it will be a busy night on the ice on Tuesday.

Will New Jersey be a Devil Force Against Toronto?

The Toronto Maple Leafs (28-10) head to New Jersey (15-24) on Tuesday night to face off against the Devils in a rare back-to-back two-nighter.

The Leafs are huge favourites again for the second leg of this short series against a struggling Devils team that's 3-9 in January (7:30 pm ET/4:30 PT puck drop).

Toronto has won now 5 straight games and will be off for the next week following this game.  The Maple Leafs waxed the Devils in last night's first game of the double, blasting four goals into the net in the 3rd period resulting in a 6-4 come-from-behind win.

WHAT ARE THE SPREADS EXPERTS RECOMMENDING?

The Leafs have been on fire offensively and reportedly will get to feast on New Jersey's fourth-string goaltender.  Betting the  "over," the Maples Leafs on the puck line, and the Leafs in the money line can each be justified given this unique situation and the way both teams have been playing recently.  Last night's game (with 10 goals scored)  could be an indication of more of the same.

Flames vs. Stars Looks Like a Coin Flip (but there's still money to be made)

Dallas (23-17) will host Calgary (21-13) on Tuesday night in a game featuring two somewhat inconsistent teams with great potential, both looking to make a serious move in the second half of the season.

Both teams average about the same number of goals, also surrender roughly the same numbers, and even play a similar style.  So predictably, the game odds are close to a pick'em.

The outcome might appear hard to predict, but the home team could enjoy a small edge (8:30 pm ET/5:30 PT puck drop).

WHAT ARE THE SPREADS EXPERTS RECOMMENDING?

Betting isn't always about teams and records.  It can be just as much about location.  Dallas is a small home underdog, despite a 15-5-1 home record.  In a matchup with few if any apparent edges, take the home team with a proven record.
