What a Week in Sports!
This week will be as exciting as it gets.
On Monday night, we already were treated to an epic college basketball championship game, which was won by Kansas over North Carolina when the Jayhawks made a furious second-half comeback against the Tar Heels after being down by 15 points at halftime.
As one sports season comes to an end, another is about to begin.
The 2022 Major League Baseball season will shout out "play ball" this week. Thursday is opening day in the major leagues. Oddsmakers think this could be a really big year for the Toronto Blue Jays, who open their season against the Texas Rangers.

Incredibly, more eyes might be focused on Augusta, Georgia on Thursday morning rather than the baseball diamond when the 2022 Masters will tee off. This is golf's grandest annual event. The drama will be on high alert since 5-time champion Tiger Woods is expected to make a comeback and play in the tournament. This will be a "must see" event. Even non-sports fans will likely find Woods' out on the course to be of interest.

As for the NBA, the playoffs are just around the corner. The regular season winds down this weekend and playoffs begin on April 12th. Many teams are jockeying for a playoff spot. The Toronto Raptors are likely to finish as the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. They've been playing very well, of late, and could be dangerous in the playoffs.
Then, there's the NHL, which is weeks away from the playoffs starting. The Toronto Maple Leafs are the hottest team in hockey, currently riding a 5-game win streak. The Edmonton Oilers are on a 4-game streak. And the Calgary Flames are in first place in the Pacific Division. These final few weeks will be interesting not just for the best three Canadian teams, but also for several others teams still trying to skate their way into the post-season.
And finally, let's give it up for the Canadian National Team, which is now locked into a competitive group for next November's World Cup.
